New method produces cells that actually resemble skin!

Those of us with receding hairlines and bald spots may have a reason to rejoice!

Scientists with the Riken Centre for Developmental Biology may have found a way to grow complex skin cells – meaning that they can grow hair – and then implant them onto our skin.

The study –led by Dr. Takashi Tsuji- was initially performed on mice, but Tsuji hopes that this new breakthrough may also one day allow scientists to create organs in a lab for transplant patients.
